CORN ISLAND, Nicaragua (Sept. 18, 2010) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Jennifer Bell, from Stockbridge, Mich., and Ensign Jimmie Riffle, from Crafton, W. Va., both embarked aboard the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), help walk an elderly man to the hospital entrance during a Continuing Promise 2010 medical civic event in Nicragua. Iwo Jima is anchored off the coast of Nicaragua conducting a Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff members embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to eight different nations.
