CAMP SHAHEEN, Afghanistan (Nov. 7, 2010) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Anthony Esquibel, a mentor to the Afghan National Army (ANA) 209th Corps, practices conversational English with the children of ANA soldiers. Esquibel became a volunteer of the Camp Mike Spann English Conversation Club to augment existing English classes and help students practice their pronunciation skills. Permanently stationed at the Expeditionary Combat Readiness Center in Norfolk, Va., Esquibel is serving a seven-month deployment with the Medical Embedded Training Team of NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan to assist in the development and training of his Afghan counterparts at the 209th Corps Regional Hospital.
