Dovie Fjeld, Norway
Drawing shows a long road through a valley in Norway. A telegraph wire stretches along the road. In the distance is a cluster of buildings, perhaps a farm or village. Two deer or elk watch a horse-driven cart along the road. Bayard Taylor traveled through Norway and Scandinavia in 1856 and 1857, after the death of his first wife.
